About us

The Children’s Friends Foundation was founded in 2001 by Mrs. Sarah Kaminsky. The Foundation consists of seven members who contribute of their time and talents to promote the goals of the Foundation and its projects. None of the members including the chairperson receive any salary whatsoever. The Foundation was founded to meet the growing needs, be they financial, social or emotional, of at risk children of all ages, with a range of appropriate and varied projects. The Foundation works closely in conjunction with the local family social welfare services, social workers, pedagogic staff and other professionals in the community who can supply information on the deficiencies experienced and how they can be filled. All information collected is checked out and cross referenced to ensure its accuracy and reliability. Most of the donations are passed on through the social workers.
